How to approve or reject AI agent actions

Review and approve task changes the AI suggests before they’re applied, or reject them.

TL;DR

When the AI agent suggests changes (create task, move, assign, etc.), you’ll see Approve and Reject. Click Approve to run the action, or Reject to cancel. Pending operations expire if not reviewed.

Why approval matters

The AI can create tasks, move them, assign people, and update fields. These are write actions. To keep you in control, they stay pending until you approve or reject them.

What you’ll see

After you ask the AI to do something (e.g., "Create a task for fixing the login bug"):

  1. The AI responds with what it plans to do.
  2. A pending operations section shows the proposed actions.
  3. Each action has Approve and Reject buttons.

Approve an action

  1. Review the proposed change (task title, assignee, column, etc.).
  2. Click Approve (or Approve all if there are several).
  3. The action runs and the task/board updates.
  4. The AI confirms what was done.

Reject an action

  1. Click Reject.
  2. Optionally add a reason (if the UI asks).
  3. The action is cancelled and nothing changes.
  4. You can ask the AI to try something different.

Expiration

Pending operations expire after a set time (often minutes). If they expire, nothing runs. Ask the AI again if you still want the change.

Multiple operations

The AI can suggest several actions at once (e.g., create 3 tasks). You can:

  • Approve all — Run everything.
  • Approve individually — Run only what you want.
  • Reject — Cancel everything or reject specific actions.

Common issues
