How to invite team members
Add people to your workspace so they can access boards and collaborate.
Prerequisites: You need Admin or Member with invite permission. If you don’t see Invite Members, ask your workspace admin.
Step-by-step
- Click your workspace name in the sidebar → Settings.
- Go to Members.
- Click Invite Members.
- Enter email addresses (comma-separate for multiple).
- Choose a role for each person (see below).
- Click Send Invitations.
Member roles
| Role | Access |
|---|---|
| Admin | Full access: billing, members, all projects, settings |
| Member | Create/edit projects, tasks, and docs |
| Guest | View-only on projects you explicitly share with them |
Tip: Start with the minimum permission needed. Use Guest for clients and contractors.
Managing invitations
- Pending invitations show in the Members tab.
- Resend or cancel from there.
- Invitations expire after 7 days resend if needed.
Common issues
| Issue | What to try |
|---|---|
| No "Invite Members" button | You need admin or invite permission. Ask your workspace admin. |
| Invitee says they didn't get email | Check spam. Resend from Members. Confirm the email is correct. |
| "User already in workspace" | They’re already a member. Check the member list. |
| Can't change someone's role | Only Admins can change roles. |
Next steps
After inviting: manage permissions for fine-grained access, or connect Slack so the team gets notifications.
