TL;DR
Use the Board Agent when you’re focused on tasks on one board (create, move, assign, find). Use the Project Agent when you need project-wide help (docs, multiple boards, linking tasks to docs).
Board Agent
Scope: Single board.
Best for:
- Creating, finding, and updating tasks on that board
- Moving tasks between columns
- Assigning tasks to people or milestones
- Bulk updates (e.g., "Move all high-priority tasks to In Progress")
- Task search and filters
- Task dependencies
Where: Open the agent from a board view.
Project Agent
Scope: Entire project (all boards + docs).
Best for:
- Creating and managing documents
- Linking docs to tasks
- Searching across boards and docs
- Project-level planning
- Work that spans multiple boards in the same project
Where: Open the agent from the project level (e.g., project sidebar or docs area).
